These are pictures from the KYYS 99.7 Radio Station Max, Tanna & Moffitt morning show live broadcast from Mechanical Art in October 2004. This was a huge Save the Pumpkin event. The City of Merriam sent the pumpkin's owner Dan Leap a $500 fine/court summons to make him remove his pumpkin. SEE BELOW. Hundreds of people stopped by to sign the save the pumpkin petition. It was great fun and the mayor later dismissed the charges. Thanks 99.7 KY - Max, Tanna & Moffitt for saving Dan's pumpkin and making it safe for pumpkins throughout Merriam. 99.7KY and their listeners are more powerful than an attorney. Pumpkin power lives!
